Reviews of the Quartet’s performances of Op. 131

The Neue Berliner Musik-Zeitung mentioned that for the concert of 19 October 1878, Op. 131 was placed second on the program, between two “lighter works” (Haydn, Op. 64 in D Major and Mozart, in C major (K. 465)), which the reviewer approved of, “although two quartets on the program would have been enough for our tastes.”
